French National Institute for Industrial Environment and Risks (Ineris) is the public expert for mitigating industrial and environmental risk. Ineris research activities supporting public policy and Ineris services supporting businesses contribute to the evaluation and prevention of the risks that economic activities induce for the environment, health and safety of people and goods in the areas of accidental risks, chronic risks, and ground and underground risks.

Ineris accompanies innovation by considering upstream the risks generated by new products, new technologies or processes

Within the RIGE unit, which carries out expert missions in geotechnical risk analysis related to anthropogenic underground cavities (mines, quarries, underground spaces...) or natural cavities, you perform:

  • acquisition of observational data and measurements on sites: visual inspection of structures, dGPS points (Differential Global Positioning System), point cloud surveys (laser-scanner) in particular but also digitization of old map archives, editing digital maps, digital photography;
  • valuation, management and analysis of previous data: assembly of data, creation of images, videos, GIS or other digital objects, interpretation and writing of reports / notes.

These missions require 2D / 3D representation skills.

You will work under the responsibility of a responsible business engineer. You will also be able to carry out independently certain parts of studies (of which you control the perimeter).

These missions involve frequent assignments in France, particularly in Nancy, and occasionally abroad.

A levels +2 as technical training in geosciences or topography (BTEC Higher National Diploma (BTS / DUT in French) in Geology, Geotechnical or Geometer-topographer), you justify a first professional experience.

You master Autocad® data processing and you have participated in 3D laser-scanner data acquisition / management / interpretation studies. The taste for instrumentation and innovative measurements (immersive imaging, drones, lidar, fiber optics, vibrations) in various fields of application (mines and quarries, underground spaces, natural hazards, civil engineering) will be a real asset for this post.

Work job language is French but good English language ability is required.
Editorial skills are also needed.

Finally, you are curious, rigorous, autonomous and you have good relationship and skills for team work.
