Location: Nancy, France
The job position is attached to the Geotechnical and Geophysical Auscultation and Monitoring Unit, within the Ground and Underground Risk Division at Ineris. Our field of activity covers all aspects of risks prevention related to the exploitation and post-exploitation of ground, underground (mines, quarries, deep boreholes, geological reservoirs and storage, dikes and dams) and natural hazards (cavities and rocky fronts).
As a geotechnical engineer, you will be involved in different kinds of projects focusing on monitoring and instrumentation. You will join collaborative international research projects, support public authorities and offer consulting services to businesses and communities.
You will be expected to:
Short business trips in France (frequently in Verneuil-en-Halatte) and abroad. Involvement in an on-duty team of experts.
Engineer or PhD in Geotechnics, you have a working experience as a geotechnical engineer and a proven expertise in metrology, physical measurements and instrumental data analysis methods.
Your versatility in the type of conducted studies and the covered topics as well your ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships will enable you to develop both the activity of the Unit and your transversal role in the Division.
Your dynamism, synthetic and analytic thinking qualities will complete your profile as well as your written and oral proficiency in English, and if possible in French.
