No. 12126 – TownsvilleThe School of Earth and Environmental Sciences seeks to appoint an inspirational academic in Environmental Management/Environmental Science to contribute to the school's successful programmes in "Protected Area Management (PAM)" and "Natural Resource Management (NRM)", and develop research that will complement the school's existing strengths in geography, environmental science, environmental management and regional planning. The School is a world leader in environmental science and management focused on issues pertinent to tropical regions. Located in North Queensland, the School is central to globally important natural and cultural heritage sites, attracting a highly motivated, diverse and international student body. Staff maintain strong links with the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, Wet Tropics Management Authority, Queensland Department of Environment and Natural Resources, regional NRM bodies and Indigenous land management organisations. Employment Type: Appointment will be full-time on a continuing basis. Salary: Lecturer - Academic Level B - $76,767 - $90,581 per annum, Senior Lecturer - Academic Level C - $93,342 - $107,155 per annum. Level of appointment and commencing salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience.
