We offer a continuing, full-time opportunity for a Lecturer, Economic Geology ($92,575 - $109,233) at the Townsville campus to strengthen the Discipline of Geoscience by contributing to teaching & attracting research funding.
What you will achieve
You will enjoy the rewarding experience of teaching Geoscience subjects into the Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Geology and other undergraduate degree programs within the College of Science and Engineering at James Cook University (JCU).
By searching for facts and figuring out problems during your research efforts in economic geology and allied fields, you will achieve a sense of accomplishment and develop collaborative partnerships with research funding sources.
What you can bring
In addition to your track record of research publications and PhD qualifications, you will have demonstrated experience in the areas relative to economic geology inclusive of field, structural, mineralogical, petrological and geochemical studies as well as the application of applied geophysical datasets.
You will have the ambition to support and market the growth of the Economic Geology Research Centre (EGRU) by providing effective leadership, attracting research funding and engaging with industry and entrepreneurial opportunities.
