Lecturer - Geochemistry
We offer a continuing, full-time opportunity for a Lecturer, Geochemistry ($92,575 - $109,233) at the Townsville campus to strengthen the Discipline of Geoscience by developing new strategic research and teaching subjects.
What you will achieve
You will be teaching Earth Science subjects into the Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Geology and other undergraduate degree programs within the College of Science and Engineering at James Cook University (JCU).
Contributing to the establishment and ongoing development of teaching and research collaborations will be an important aspect of this role particularly with international partner institutions in Asia and other regions.
What you can bring
You will have a PhD qualification and demonstrated experience in geology coupled with specialist knowledge in areas such as radiogenic isotope geochemistry, geochronology, or applied geochemistry and economic geology or climate science.
A track record of collaboration with minerals, energy, and/or environmental industries and ability to teach into subjects in climate change and environmental science will be highly regarded, however is not essential.
