Lamont Assistant Research Professor (LARP) in Dendroecology
at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University
The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) of Columbia University seeks applicants to fill a Lamont Assistant Research Professor (LARP) position in the field of dendroecology. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Biological Sciences and expertise in areas of dendroecology, paleoclimatology, ecophysiology and stable isotopes. Experience in Arctic research and field work capability in harsh or high altitude environments are preferred. The ideal candidate will complement existing strengths at the Lamont's Tree-Ring Laboratory (TRL-LDEO) in these fields. Programming language, communication skills, experience in interdisciplinary projects and international synergies necessary. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to participate in ongoing projects at the TRL-LDEO and its evolving collaborations with other research units at LDEO, the Earth Institute, and other departments of Columbia University.
Minimum requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in a related field and demonstrated potential for significant research contributions by having published in peer-reviewed journals and potential for supporting their research program with external funding.
