Lund University announces an opening for an Post-doctoral researcher in project ClimAfricaReference no: 4535 Job description We seek a post-doctoral research fellow to model the dynamic interactions of climate and ecosystem processes for assessment of agricultural and rangeland productivity and water balance in Africa, and to quantify sensitivities of vegetation productivity to seasonal, interannual and decadal variability in weather and climate. The work contributes to the EU Project ClimAfrica. The researcher will be placed in the Department of Physical Geography and Ecosystems Analysis, Lund University, Sweden. The researcher will be responsible for implementing and testing the agricultural version of the dynamic global vegetation model framework LPJ-GUESS for the African environment, to develop a grazing module for African rangelands, and to contribute to model-model and model-data intercomparison within the project.
