Full Time Continuing Faculty Member - Lab Instructor
Arts and Science - Physical Science



The department of Physical Sciences in the Faculty of Arts and Science at MacEwan University invites applications for a full-time Earth and Planetary Sciences Lab Instructor position, commencing July 1, 2012. This position will contribute to the growth and success of MacEwan's four year Physical Sciences baccalaureate degree.

The successful candidate will teach primarily introductory earth science laboratories. The laboratory instructor will, in addition to their instructional duties, support the work of the department through activities such as, but not limited to, laboratory exercise design and curriculum development.

Applicants must have a minimum of a B.Sc. in Earth Sciences or a more advanced degree in Earth Sciences, or in a Physical Science with a strong background in the earth sciences.

The candidates must demonstrate excellence, or clear promise of excellence, in laboratory instruction. Applicants should have fluent written and oral communication skills in English. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, in accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority.
