The CCFS ARC Centre of Excellence is a world-class research hub for multidisciplinary studies of Earth's coupled solid and fluid systems. Macquarie University is the administering institution for three (3) Australian Nodes including UWA and Curtin with the Geological Survey of Western Australia as a national Partner, and four (4) international Partner Institutions. Research strands within CCFS include early Earth and its fluid budget, evolution of coupled Earth systems through time and dynamics of the Earth today.

We invite applications for a postdoctoral position in computational geodynamics at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.

Candidates should have a PhD in geophysics or equivalent submitted prior to commencement; experience in geodynamics and computer programming; and a strong background in physics and mathematics. Knowledge of multiphase reactive flow and computational fluid dynamics is desirable.

Appointment Type: Full-time, 12 months fixed-term with the possibility of extension thereafter pending funding availability.

Package: Level B from $83,623 to $98,940 per annum, plus 9% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.
