A postdoctoral researcher is sought to work on the Industry-funded Mudstone and Shale Gas Reservoir Research Consortium. This research is based at the University of Manchester in collaboration with the Manchester Research Centre at Harwell/Diamond, and involves collaboration between academics and industry.
You will have experience of undertaking geological analysis of sedimentary rocks, or hydrocarbon reservoirs, and experience of deriving geological models from integrated data sets (including petrographic, mineralogical and petrophysical data). Experience of 2D and 3D multi-scale analysis/a knowledge of geomechanics or modelling would be an advantage. You will be in Manchester but will be expected to visit Harwell for analysis and group meetings and also visit and present to industrial partners.
