MSc Opportunities: Ore Deposits Geochemistry, Metallogeny & Applied Mineralogy

We anticipate new opportunities for M.Sc. studies in the Dept. of Earth Sciences, with enrollment for the 2019-2020 academic year. Successful applicants will join our team of students and collaborating faculty engaged in integrated field and analytical studies of specific hydrothermal ore deposits, studies of regional metallogeny (with a current emphasis on Atlantic Canada), and development of advanced instrumental analysis for deportment studies. Prospective students with a strong background in mineralogy, geochemistry and economic geology are particularly encouraged to apply.

Previous experience with techniques for instrumental microanalysis would be an asset, especially for candidates interested in projects in Applied Mineralogy. Electronic applications strongly encouraged by January 15, 2019 - to facilitate full enrollment for Fall 2019. Some planned programs may involve initial field work during Summer 2019.
