Ph.D. position in Economic Geology

The Geology & Geophysics program at Missouri S&T seeks a highly motivated Ph.D. candidate with an excellent academic record, a strong geochemical background and an interest in Economic Geology. The successful applicant will investigate trace element behavior during ore-forming processes to develop geochemical exploration tools. Depending on the candidate's research interests and strengths, possible areas of research include Missouri's world-class Mississippi Valley Type deposits, iron ore deposits and rare earth element deposits. Individual research proposals on other ore deposits styles are encouraged and will be evaluated based on academic quality and feasibility.
