Academic position for Earth Scientist (3 + 3 years)



The Institute of Geology & Paleontology at the University of Münster, Germany, is seeking a highly motivated Earth Scientist for a 3-years-position starting on the 1st of June 2008 (the position may be extended for another 3 years). Responsibilities include (1) four hours of teaching per week during the semester, mainly at the undergraduate level (practical courses, field and mapping courses), and (2) participation in the academic self-administration. Successful candidates must have a PhD in tectonics/structural geology or Earth surface processes. Experience with one or more of the following tools is expected: surface exposure dating, remote sensing, digital elevation models, numerical modeling, GPS, InSAR. Applications should include a CV, a publication list, a statement on research interests, certificates, and the names and addresses of two referees.
