Midland Valley has a vacancy for a geologist to work on our support and knowledge centre. The position is permanent and Glasgow based. Training will be given to the successful candidate in use of Move software and relevant aspects of structural geology. The successful candidate will gain wide experience of geological modelling in the petroleum and mining industries and be exposed to a wide range of geological problems as well as an understanding of commercial context.

Our Support geologists undertake a wide range of tasks with a primary role in dealing promptly and professionally with our international clients and users. This role is central to our operations and forms a vital interface between Midland Valley and our user and client community. They take responsibility as appropriate to involve other team specialists in client enquiries. The support team are heavily involved with documenting workflows, testing new releases and developing training material as well as being involved with our consulting team in project support.

The position is open to first degree entrants with a strong interest in problem solving, working with people as well as furthering their technical expertise. Candidates must be UK or EU citizens.
