You will also plan, design and conduct independent and multidisciplinary bedrock mapping projects throughout northern Ontario. As part of a technical team, you will collect geoscience data, prepare maps, reports and public presentations, as well as provide scientific leadership and advice. Location: 933 Ramsey Lake Rd., Sudbury, with travel throughout northern Ontario. Qualifications: thorough knowledge of Precambrian geology, metallogeny and tectonics; demonstrated knowledge of regional bedrock mapping practices and techniques at various scales in remote and northern locations; ability to develop new interpretations and hypotheses by compiling, synthesizing and integrating diverse geoscience datasets; proven interpersonal and team leadership skills; strong communication skills to deliver geoscience information to diverse client groups; experience with applicable computer software and hardware for geoscience applications; qualified to obtain professional designation with the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario; valid driver's licence to travel to sites throughout northern Ontario to complete fieldwork.
