Methane Network Co-ordinator

We are looking for a talented science communicator and facilitator with a strong scientific background in greenhouse gases to join the team which will host and shape the NERC-funded Methane Network (MethaneNet) as Co-ordinator.

This is an exciting and high profile activity funded under the NERC Earth System Science Theme. You will facilitate communication between numerous national and international partners and assist with the establishment of a prioritised research agenda to include the UK & international community. Your duties will include: identifying members and stakeholders of the UK/international methane community and engaging them in MethaneNet; organising and contributing to steering group meetings; organising and facilitating community events; maintaining and providing content for the MethaneNet website; drafting broad positioning papers, summary documents for policy makers and press releases; and assisting with editorial work surrounding the production of special journal issues that will result from meetings.
