Three University Lecturerships
The Department of Earth Sciences proposes to appoint University Lecturers in each of three broadly defined areas from 1st September 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter. Each appointment is associated with a Fellowship at one of Oxford's Colleges under arrangements described in the further particulars for each post. The salaries are from £42,883 per annum.
The appointments will be initially for five years at which point, upon completion of a successful review, the post holder will be eligible for reappointment to the retiring age.
Successful candidates will be expected to carry out research, at an international level, that will contribute to the Department's research reputation, to secure research funding, to teach, supervise and examine undergraduate and postgraduate students, and to participate in and contribute to the administration of the Department.
Further particulars, containing additional information about the areas of the searches and details of the application procedure and duties of each post, may be obtained from the Department web site (http://www.earth.ox.ac.uk/vacancies ) or from Ms Pilar Pousada Solino (Pilar.PousadaSolino@earth.ox.ac.uk ).
The closing date for applications is 18th May 2012. Please note that applicants are asked to contact their referees, who should write directly to the Department so that references arrive by the closing date.
