Doctoral Studentship: Solar and
Planetary Science

Qualification title: Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in Earth Sciences
Starting: October 2019, 3 years duration in the first instance with the possibility of extension to 3.5 years

Applications are invited for a 3 year (in the first instance) fully-funded doctoral studentship in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Oxford. This studentship includes fees, a stipend, and travel and research funds, and is available to UK students; EU candidates are eligible for fees only.

The project will be in the field of Solar and Planetary Science (e.g. Earth Observation). You are invited to apply within the subject field, after discussion with an Earth Science's faculty member.

Eligibility: Candidates are normally expected to be predicted or have achieved a first-class or strong upper second-class undergraduate degree with honours (or equivalent international qualifications), as a minimum, in science or mathematics.
