The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Geology with active high-quality teaching and research capabilities. Candidates should possess the appropriate dynamism, expertise and qualifications to contribute to the academic development of our undergraduate and postgraduate geoscience programmes.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of courses within the geosciences, in particular contributing in the fields of structural geology, geotectonics and metamorphic petrology.
Teaching duties will also include active participation in the School's fieldwork programme. The successful candidate will be expected to develop professional research activities by attracting external funding and by establishing a vibrant post-graduate cohort, and thus enhance and diversify the academic profile and existing research strengths within the School.
