Senior Lecturer in Petroleum Engineering

The Department invites applications for a permanent post at Senior Lecturer level in Petroleum Engineering in at least one of the following fields; Reservoir Engineering and characterisation/Drilling/Reservoir Simulation and Management/Modelling/Petrochemical Engineering. We seek a specialist to develop teaching and support the management of our newly established course BEng (Hons) Petroleum Engineering.
You will be joining a forward looking, research and industry focused department with a strong international reputation in research and knowledge transfer activities where you are expected to demonstrate academic/professional expertise that will contribute to the further development of the BEng programme and support teaching, research and extension within the wider fields of petroleum and mechanical engineering science.
The duties for this post include teaching at undergraduate level, supervision of project at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, research and scholarly activities and administrative duties (course management). You are expected to contribute to the existing strong research culture as well as supporting the research-lead knowledge transfer agenda within the Department serving its short and long term objectives.
You should have a first degree and preferably a higher degree in Petroleum Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering and/or Geoscience or similar disciplines. Ref: ATEC0128.
