(Post Reference: PG-3-2018)
Reynolds International Ltd is a dynamic and growing consultancy company and is recognised as the UK’s leading near-surface geological and geophysical consultancy. We specialise in near-surface engineering and environmental geophysics, offshore wind farm geophysics, earthquake preparedness, and geohazards (especially glacial hazards). Our staff have been involved with designing, managing, and/or interpreting some of the most prestigious engineering and environmental geophysics projects over the last few years. These include high profile investigations for offshore wind farm and renewable energy developments around the UK and internationally; over-water surveys for Crossrail and Docklands Light Railway, the Thames Tideway Project, and the London Gateway Project (all in London); plus, site surveys for jack-up rig locations, dredging and marine aggregates internationally. We have been involved with geophysical investigations for hydropower dams, underground nuclear repositories and new nuclear stations, searches for natural and man-made cavities and voids, landfills, back-filled quarries, animal burrows, infrastructure schemes (e.g. the new Mersey Crossing at Halton, Wirral), airport expansion projects (internationally), etc. Our staff have been involved in mineral exploration geophysics for various international projects. We are also the principal geoscience consultant to North Wales Tidal Energy Ltd’s prospective 2.5 GW tidal range project off the North Wales coast.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Geophysicist to join our highly innovative and expanding team. The successful candidate will work predominantly but not exclusively on projects in the land-based environmental and engineering sector. Technically entrepreneurial, commercially-aware geophysicists will appreciate an environment that offers variety, scientific rigour and innovation while keeping the focus characteristic of industrial, engineering projects. This is a rare opportunity for someone to make the transition from geophysical contractor to consultant.
The closing date for applications for the Project Geophysicist post is Monday 17th December 2018. Applications received after this date will be considered on their own merits and until the position has been filled.
