Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor of Geology


Starting September 1, 2009

The of the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey is seeking to fill a one year Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor of Geology. A Ph.D. is required for the Visiting Assistant Professor position and an ABD or Masters degree is required for the Visiting Instructor position. Teaching and experience is a plus. We seek a colleague who is strongly committed to teaching in a liberal arts environment. Academic experiences with culturally diverse populations desired. Teaching responsibilities include General Geology Lecture/lab, Mineralogy lecture/lab, Petrology lecture/lab, Sedimentology and Stratigraphy lecture/lab, and General Studies (non-major) courses. Teaching load is 12 hours/semester, with most courses carrying 4 hours credit. Existing facilities include a Field Station located 15 minutes from campus.
