The working group "Experimental Geophysics" of the Institute for Geology, Mineralogy, and Geophysics in the Department of Geosciences of Ruhr-Universität Bochum seeks to fill
PhD-positions (E13 75 %)
at the earliest possible date. The positions refer to work in projects related to hydro-mechanical experiments in boreholes and in the laboratory.
To be considered, applicants have to hold a university degree (Master or Diploma) in geosciences or a related science or engineering discipline. Applicants with experience in experimentation either in the laboratory or in the field will be given preference. A solid background in physics and mathematics is mandatory.
