The Department of Earth Sciences at Sultan Qaboos University is a young, vibrant and growing department located at the heart of the petroleum industry in the Middle East. We are currently searching for a staff for late August 2012. Candidates with experience in Seismic exploration are invited to apply. Suitable candidate will have completed a PhD and will have a record of international publications; he will also have some university teaching experience and ideally some industrial experience in his field. The positions will require teaching at both undergraduate and post-graduate level and offers an excellent opportunity to conduct both independent research, and collaborative research with local industry. The appointment will be made at either the assistant or associate professor level, based on teaching experience and publication record.
