Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position at the University of Tuebingen in Southern Germany. The successful candidate should have a strong background in field petrology, petrological/(hydro)geochemical modelling and/or fluid inclusion research. The petrology group has a strong research background in igneous petrology and in the geochemistry of hydrothermal processes. Besides cooperation in these projects, she/he will be expected to build up an internationally visible research program of her/his own in her/his special field of expertise.

The position requires a Ph.D. and a strong publication record in petrology, geochemistry, volcanology, economic geology, mineralogy or hydrochemistry.

Appointment is for up to five years. Salary is 25.000 € (equivalent to US$ 40.000), tax-free. Additional funds for travelling etc. are available.
