Research Associate in Noble Gas Geochemistry



The appointment will be full time on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £32,375 - £39,132 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate (RA) for a position funded by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) for the development of in-situ U-Th-He geochronology by laser ablation at the London Geochronology Centre (LGC), University College London.

The post is funded by NERC for two years in the first instance.

The successful candidate will have a PhD, or a PhD thesis submitted subject to examination, in the earth sciences, physics or a related physical science.

We are particularly interested in candidates with skills that complement those of the existing staff at the LGC, for example in the numerical modelling of diffusive processes and thermal histories.
