We seek an individual having demonstrated expertise in field-based geophysics and research interests that complement departmental strengths and have the potential to produce cross-discipline collaboration within the department. The area of specialty is open and may include such diverse fields as coastal/marine geophysics, exploration geophysics, geodynamics, hydrogeophysics, and tectonophysics. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous research program with the potential to attract external funding, teach and advise undergraduate and graduate students, and supervise and support student research. We especially encourage applicants who will actively engage students in field research. A Ph.D. in geophysics, or a Ph.D. in a related discipline and dissertation research in geophysics is required.
