Two PhD Student Positions in Computational Poroelasticity
The Applied and Environmental Geophysics Group at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, has an opening for two doctoral students in the overall field of computational poroelasticity. A particular focus of this research project will be to explore the relations between the seismic signatures of fractured media and their hydraulic properties. The positions are funded for four years and available immediately or upon agreement. The project will be carried out in collaboration with Dr. Germán Rubino from the Bariloche Atomic Centre, Argentina, and will involve extended visits at this site. At the time of appointment, the successful candidates must have the equivalent of an MSc degree in physics, geophysics or a closely related field. We are looking for highly motivated, mature individuals with strong analytical and methodological skills.
