Sedimentary GeologistThe Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in sedimentary geology at the assistant professor level beginning in August 2008. We seek applicants with interests in basic or applied problems in clastic or carbonate petrology, basin analysis, sequence stratigraphy, or tectonics and sedimentation. Preference will be given to candidates with interests in petroleum geology, energy and/or natural resource science. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an active program of externally funded research, supervise graduate research for students in masters and doctoral programs, and teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels. A Ph.D. in geology is required.
