Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the posts of:

The successful applicant should have a PhD in Geology preferably in igneous petrology and/ or volcanology with a strong background in mineralogy and geochemistry.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and deliver courses in the areas of specialization;
• Teach courses in the first year programme together with advanced level courses in his/her area of specialization;
• Take an active part in field exercises as well as research and postgraduate supervision.

The successful candidates will be expected to commence duties in August 2008.

The successful applicant should have a Ph.D in Physical Geography, preferably in a Climate Change and/or Hydrology of Hydrogeomorphology.

Experience in Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing would be an advantage.

Responsibilities include:

• To develop and deliver courses in the area of specialization;
• Teach Physical Geography, especially core courses in areas of Geography within his/her field of expertise at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
• to take an active part in research and postgraduate supervision.
