Visiting Assistant Professor of Earth Science
and Geography


The Department of Earth Science and Geography at Vassar College invites applications for a full-time, one-year position for the 2017-18 academic year in paleontology, paleoecology and/or biogeochemistry at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning August 15, 2017. The successful candidate will teach an introductory laboratory-based earth system science course, and will develop an introductory-level Freshman Writing Seminar, plus an intermediate-level course for earth science majors, based on his or her expertise. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Geology or Earth Science at the time of appointment.
