Tenure-track Faculty Position in Environmental Geochemistry



The Department of Environmental Science at William Paterson University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in environmental geochemistry. This position, effective the fall 2012 semester, is at the Assistant Professor level.

We seek a dynamic individual with research interests and/or approaches that will complement our departmental goals and university mission statement, and who will contribute to our core teaching in Environmental Science. Applicants should have demonstrable potential to involve undergraduates in original research in environmental geochemistry. While the specific area of research is open, preference will be given to applicants with interests and background in pollution fate and transport, global climate change and/or bio-geochemical cycling. Familiarity with the operation and use of state-of-the-art environmental analytical equipment is essential. Expertise with AA Spectrometry, Ion-Chromatography, CHNS/O, or TOC/TN analysis and equipment preferred. Strong commitment to teaching, research, scholarly activities, and service are required.

Ph.D., with specialization in areas of geochemistry/hydrogeology required.
