Design for the re-build of Christchurch is in full swing. In the central business district alone 70% to 80% of the buildings will need to be replaced along with significant amounts of civil infrastructure across Canterbury. As such, the proposed city rebuild constitutes a global scale project and presents unique geotechnical challenges and opportunities.

AECOM's geotechnical team in Christchurch is young, dynamic and growing. We have established good relationships with our major clients based on a reputation for quality and timely delivery. We currently have opportunities for intermediate and senior geotechnical engineers who are looking to develop their careers by delivering investigations, designs and construction supervision of building and civil works for our clients.

The role will involve leading and mentoring graduates, design, project management, meeting with clients, preparation of proposals, dealing with a variety of contractors and report writing. These roles provide a great opportunity for getting experience in team management, running projects and winning work. This is a unique chance to get involved in an evolving seismic assessment and design environment where cutting edge developments are taking place.

We are seeking Geotechnical Engineers with at least 3+ years experience that will include design and analysis, site investigations and report writing who are keen to be involved in growing the Christchurch business and working on major projects across the Asia-Pacific area.
