Coastline Surveys LimitedGraduate Engineering Geologist - Marine Site InvestigationThis is an excellent opportunity to work for a growing marine geoscience survey specialist. The position would ideally suit a recent graduate with an interest in marine site investigation. The role would be focused on processing samples onshore and working offshore as an engineering geologist. The right candidate would also have the opportunity to assist with the compilation of geotechnical and geological data and other information for insertion within technical reports. As a minimum you would need a good degree pass in Geology, Engineering Geology or a related discipline. New graduates may be considered as training would be provided. However a working knowledge of current soil logging/testing standards and industry experience would be a distinct advantage. The right candidate would have a positive 'can-do' attitude, a flexible approach to working environments, duties and hours, be highly motivated and prepared to assist in other disciplines where appropriate contributing to a friendly and dynamic team. Marine experience would be an advantage but is not essential. The successful candidate must be physically fit and prepared to attend the necessary medical examinations and attend offshore personal survival training in order to obtain the necessary offshore certification. The position is based in Lowestoft Suffolk, although you would be expected to spend time offshore and to travel both in the UK and overseas.
