Earthworks Examiners (EE)

Contract positions (November through March)



UK Wide

As an Earthworks Examiner you will be required to visit earthwork locations in order to carry out 065 compliant examinations using a GISmo system (Electronic data base collection system). Regions covered will include Western, London North Western, London North Eastern and Scotland.

As well as holding a degree in Geology or equivalent, it is essential that as an Examiner you have a history of working on the railways and are in possession of PTS. Possession of IWA is desirable, but can be arranged. The ability to work alone and efficiently is a critical component of this role, as well as a driving licence.

The portfolio of work will be within the earthworks examination (soil and rock slopes) section of CEFA. The Civil Examination Framework Agreement was recently awarded to one body, which will have overall responsibility for the next 5 years. The client have been awarded Network Rail's Civil Examination Framework Agreement (CEFA) in all five of the rail provider's geographical territories, beating rival bids from other leading consultancies.

£260 per day + van / fuel card & expenses (if working away from home)
