Geotechnical Engineering and Marine Surveys Ltd QHSE CoordinatorThe GEMS International Group of Companies is an international business with offices in Bath and Devizes (UK), Zeebrugge (Belgium), Nigeria, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Egypt. It has a pool of personnel and equipment and a fleet of seven vessels to provide geotechnical, geophysical, hydrographic and metocean systems and services in support of coastal and offshore engineering, protection of the marine environment and management of marine resources. Geotechnical Engineering and Marine Surveys Ltd. (GEMS), part of the GEMS International Group of Companies, is based in Bath, UK and is primarily concerned with offshore site investigation and foundation engineering. We are currently seeking a QHSE Coordinator, who will report to the Managing Director and the Group QHSE Manager. The role will be predominantly office based, although short term deployments overseas and to vessels during site investigation work are to be expected. It is very important for the individual to be able to clearly communicate to company staff and other stakeholders and to provide guidance and advice to ensure a consistent and safe operation that is compliant with current QHSE standards and legislative requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Ideally at least 5 years experience and /or recognised qualification(s) in quality/health/safety/environment, and/or auditing. Experience and / or recognised qualification(s) in maritime matters would be advantageous.
