Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Geotechnical Engineer

Bristol

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Geotechnical Engineer with significant experience to work in our Bristol office. Recent experience within the UK water industry would be preferable but not essential.

Outline of role

Main duties will include undertaking desk studies, interpretative reports, design and management of site investigations, site supervision, production of specifications, geotechnical calculation and analysis.

Qualifications required
  • First degree in civil engineering/engineering geology.
  • Post graduate degree in geotechnical engineering/soil mechanics.
  • Possess or actively seeking Chartered status as an engineer or geologist.
Experience required

Significant post graduate experience, proven project management skills. Essential experience includes design and management of site investigations, design of deep and shallow foundations, earthworks, retaining walls, ground improvement and slope stability analysis. Fully up to date with the latest industry standards including Eurocode 7.
