The role

We currently have vacancies for Offshore Project Managers to join our expanding UK operations from Bristol. The role involves field based assignments to our various site investigation projects in Europe and worldwide as well as occasional office based engineering and reporting

The responsibilities for this role include:

  • To ensure that contractual standards are adhered to offshore and scope of work is achieved
  • Providing input to pre-project documentation and project planning
  • Production of daily progress reports
  • Liaison with client representatives
  • Keeping abreast of the latest industry standards and techniques, in both geotechnical and geophysical works
  • Producing Field Reports to present operations and acquired data to end users
  • Encourage working practices that promote health and safety
  • Coordination of vessel mobilisations
  • Internal/external liaison with Vessel Master and Drilling Supervisor

The person

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience and skills:

  • A relevant Bachelors degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnics or Civil Engineering
  • An MSc in an appropriate field would be an advantage
  • Should be interested in Offshore Geotechnical Engineering
  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience of site investigation, in particular in the offshore environment
  • Willingness to travel and spend periods of time offshore
  • Fluent in written and spoken English with foreign language ability an advantage
  • Strong teamwork and leadership abilities
  • Computer literate to an intermediate or advanced level, including knowledge of MS Word; Excel; and MS Project
