Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd. (KCBL) Mining Environmental group (MEG) requires Senior Civil Engineers in both our Brisbane and Vancouver offices, to support the substantial growth of our Mining Environmental Group across Canada, Australia, the Pacific and South East Asia. Our mining teams in Vancouver and Brisbane are in need of experienced civil engineers for involvement with world class international mining clients assisting with mine water and mine waste projects. Our Civil Engineers work on large tailings embankment dams, waste dumps and water supply and concrete dams as well as water management infrastructure. The work requires technical engineering design skills and the ability to build the projects not just design them. We also expect progressive development of project management and business responsibilities that will expand upon our technical excellence and your career.

Qualifications:

• 15 or more years of relevant experience on heavy civil and industrial infrastructure projects, covering mine tailings, waste rock disposal, large embankment and concrete dams, and water management infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. A Masters is preferred; and alternate business management training with focus on project delivery and loss prevention is an asset.
• Be registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia or Queensland.
• Strong technical engineering design skills.
• Have good contract administration and project management skills.
• Have the ability to lead technical teams and provide project strategy and direction to your team and client.
• Have a record of excellent project management on projects of varied scopes.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills in English, and the ability to work with and lead a team of professionals. Bilingual (particularly French or Spanish) would be an asset.
• Enjoy the opportunity and have the ability to supervise, train and mentor junior staff.
• Sustain client relationships and develop new business.
• Be available to travel domestically and internationally, occasionally in remote and varying environments sometimes with limited communications and logistical support, always with unique challenges.
• Show comprehension and application of strong business ethics and health, safety and environmental principles. Previous consulting experience is an asset.
• Be the best in the business.
