Job Purpose Summary:
Our client provides a dedicated real estate service to facilitate the operation of assets and infrastructure connected to energy production and storage. To meet the increasing demand for this service from their clients they are looking for experienced Energy & Renewable Energy Consultants to join their highly successful team.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
The position involves providing independent energy advice to existing and new clients to enable informed decisions to be made. The work includes:
- Site surveys
- Feasibility studies
- Technical and financial appraisal
- Tendering through to project implementation
- Evaluation of the most appropriate way forward for clients needs
- Client liaison
- Ensuring delivery of projects and client expectations are met
- Identify new opportunities networking
- Project management
Key Skills / Requirements:
Experience:
- The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years experience in a commercial energy consultancy environment.
- They will have a degree in an energy related discipline, and the ability and willingness to grasp new concepts and ideas.
- A good practical, technical and financial understanding of waste to energy, anaerobic digestion and combined heat and power is essential.
- Up to date knowledge of current Government incentive schemes, policy and understanding of the electricity market is essential.
- An interest in and understanding of biomass heating, ESCOs, wind power, photovoltaics, heat pumps, energy efficiency and building services is desirable.
- A good selection of existing clients would be preferable as is an ability to generate work/ self start.
Qualifications:
- Candidates are likely to hold a degree in either Electrical/Mechanical/Building services engineering with an energy focus.
- Professional membership e.g. chartered is desirable but not essential.
Skills:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Not adverse to public speaking
- Excellent report writing skills and IT literacy in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
