Professor of Civil Engineering (hydrology et hydraulics)Department Duties The Department of Applied Sciences of the ‘Université du Québec à Chicoutimi’ is searching for a professor of hydrology and hydraulics. Teaching activities will be related to these domains for students in civil and geological engineering. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, the new member of our department will be expected to develop a research program in the field of hydrology and hydraulics and contribute to the training of MSc and PhD students. Of particular interest to us are fields of expertise in hydrology and hydraulics that cover various aspects of water resources including the analysis and design of installations and systems in hydrology and hydraulics; major systems for water supply and treatment, risk management, particularly of shorelines and riverbanks; surface and subsurface hydraulic phenomena, including water movements between underground reservoirs and the surface. Remuneration Remuneration will depend on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Work conditions Work conditions are defined by the collective agreement between UQAC and the professors’ union. Place of work The place of work is Chicoutimi and, on occasion, satellite study centres in other towns.
