UTEC Survey Ltd., a member of UTEC International group of companies, is a UK based marine survey company focussed primarily on Geotechnical, Geophysical and Geohazard markets. As part of a continuing programme of growth, UTEC is seeking to recruit in the following positions:

Geophysical Engineering Manager (Lowestoft)

This position requires a senior survey engineer/manager with recent experience in shallow seismic operations, techniques and equipment to join the existing Technical Department within the company. The successful candidate will be required to supervise the technical aspects of offshore geophysical operations, to manage personnel, be technically qualified and experienced and should be prepared to travel globally to mobilisation locations. Candidates will need to be able to work under pressure and be able to apply a flexible approach to both work type and hours. It will occasionally be necessary to go to sea.

Multibeam Data Processor (Lowestoft)

This is an office based position requiring a dynamic, knowledgeable data processor for a shore-based role in a busy and energetic data processing team. A strong background in multibeam data processing is essential.

Survey Party Chiefs (multiple vacancies - Offshore UK & W. Africa)

Staff Party Chiefs required for geophysical, geohazard and geotechnical surveys. Experienced EICs or senior surveyors with minimum 5 years offshore 2D HR seismic survey experience. Minimum 2 years proven Party Chief experience.

Geophysical Engineer/Senior Geophysical Engineer (Offshore)

Will operate, maintain and repair company operated analogue and/or digital survey equipment. The Engineer shall have at least two years experience in the field of offshore analogue and/or digital survey acquisition and the Senior Engineer will have three years experience and will have a proven record of supervising offshore survey engineering teams.

Gun Mechanic/Compressor Engineer (Offshore)

Will have experience of maintaining sleeve guns, high pressure air compressors and seismic sources for Geohazard surveys. (S)he will have at least two years offshore experience.

Senior Surveyor (Offshore)

Will be responsible for the correct acquisition and processing of all positioning data (vessel & sensors) and bathymetric data acquired during the survey. The successful candidate will be required to perform the duties of either an "Online Navigator" or a "Data Processor". (S)he shall have experience with the principles of surveying offshore especially in the fields of positioning and multi-beam echo sounding. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquisition and logging of positional data and for calibration of survey sensors.

Geophysicists (Offshore & Lowestoft)

Experienced and trainee Geophysicists positions available for offshore and onshore operations. Requirements offshore would include mobilisation of equipment, QC and interpretation of data and production of field reports. Onshore the emphasis is on interpretation of data and production of final reports to a very high standard.

All offshore candidates are required to hold a valid Offshore Survival and Medical certification and will be UK based.
