Quantity Surveyor - Principal

Our client who is an International multi-discipline consultancy is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor – Principal who will be working from their Birmingham office, the job holder will provide a full, efficient and effective Quantity Surveying/Employer's Agent service to a range of private/public sector clients within the construction industry.

Applicants should have the following skills:

• Ability to undertake full QS/EA duties.
• Understanding of current legal developments in respect of construction and associated law.
• Numerically accurate.
• Familiarity with contractual obligations, breaches & remedies.
• Ability to advise clients on project costs and methods of procurement.
• Knowledge and understanding of the component parts of a project and overall construction/fit-out costs.
• Excellent communication skills are essential for this senior client facing role.

The ideal candidate should be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, with Project Management qualifications and advantage. You should be a Team Player but with the ability to be self sufficient and have extensive experience within a Professional quantity surveying firm(s).
