Regional Director Quantity Surveyor

Our client who is an International multidisciplinary consultancy is
looking for a Regional Director Quantity Surveyor to be Leeds based.
You will provide a full, efficient and effective Quantity
Surveying/Employer's Agent service to a range of private/public sector clients
within the construction industry.
Responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- That the Profit Centre meets or exceeds its targets for net and gross
profitability with each financial year.
- A workable strategy for Business Development of the Leeds office to meet
targets of gross and net profitability agreed with the Profit Centre Manager
for each financial year.
- The introduction of new business to meet the commitment of employed and
financial resources each financial year.
- Collectible and regular fee billings within the firm's normal terms and at
minimum risk.
- Personal utilisation to meet point No. 1.
Activities will include:
- Liaising and responding to local Directors.
- Regular formal and informal reporting to Profit Centre Manager.
- Business Development and co-ordination thereof.
- Undertaking fee earning work.
- Working in compliance with the Operating Procedures set out in Q.A.
System.
- Managing the performance of the staff.
The ideal candidate should be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with Project
Management qualifications and you should be a team player but with ability to
also be self sufficient.
Experience
- Extensive experience within a Professional quantity surveying firm(s).
- Ability to undertake full QS/EA duties.
- Understanding of current legal developments in respect of construction and
associated law.
- Numerically accurate.
- Familiarity with contractual obligations, breaches & remedies.
- Ability to advise clients on project costs and methods of procurement.
- Knowledge and understanding of the component parts of a project and
overall construction/fit-out costs.
- Excellent communication skills are essential for this senior client facing
role.
