The successful candidate will be monitoring and evaluating the implementation of their SHEQual policies and systems in the business. You will track the speed and quality of an corrective actions that are raised during the monitoring activities and stop an work activities where the SHEQual advisor identifies an imminent danger to people or the environment. To be successful in this role you will need a background in Environmental Science. In addition you will need a NEBOSH qualification ideally diploma but they will accept a certificate. The successful candidate will keep up to date with current SHEQual legislation and industry best practice and disseminating this information to staff at all levels throughout the business. In addition the successful candidate will provide SHEQual advice to all staff at all levels. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining an effective relationship with the local Health and Safety Executive, Environmental Agency Officers, other regulators and Clients Health and Safety Representatives within the business. In addition you must maintain and implement company SHEQual audit / inspection plan within the business. The successful will be responsible for investigating RIDDOR and first aid accidents, incidents, and near misses and liaising with the relevant SHEQual Manager with regards to notification of the relevant enforcing authorities. You will also provide advice with supplier / subcontractor assessments. You will be responsible providing SHEQual Managers with relevant information in a timely manner and contributing to developing, improving and implementing SHEQual policies, procedures and processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the SHEQual annual action plans with SHEQual Managers and developing and implementing action plans and targets within the business. The successful candidate will identify training needs and developing and delivering SHEQual training as required and providing the business with advice on the implementation of company’s SHE systems. In addition the successful candidate will be promoting and supporting the continuing development of company’s SHEQual culture. Completing appropriate company administration documents in a timely manner is also essential. The successful candidate will assist with SHEQual consultation of employees. In addition you will also provide input to Business Development activities and perform additional assignments as requested by the SHEQual Director's and Managers.
