Our Client currently has a number of vacancies for Lead Civil Engineers (Wastewater Networks) to work in their newly opened office in Solihull. The level they are seeking is Senior to Principal Design Team Leaders. The Solihull office can expect to work for a number of major clients to deliver a significant number of major projects as a part of the AMP4 and AMP5 programmes. Additionally the Solihull office will provide support to other companies offices in the United Kingdom. In this role you will be leading a multi - disciplinary team, producing output to meet time, budget and quality requirements, interfacing effectively with multiple disciplines at all times to contribute to an overall coherent and efficient design. To be successful in this role you will have a proven background in wastewater networks design, with experience in the production of engineering designs and specifications for projects, which will have included wastewater networks, pipelines, CSOs, pumping stations and other hydraulic structures. Being able to work and lead in a multi disciplined team you will take ownership for your individual work output and remain focused on the most important priorities, while showing an understanding of project management tools and methodologies and being capable of delivering technical work to time and cost targets under the direction of the project manager. With excellent communication skills you will have strong report writing skills and be able to provide support, guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff in order to help grow their technical abilities, while being able to take on new challenges and stretch past performance. You will also ideally be a member of the relevant engineering institution.
