BGR is realizing the development cooperation project “Sustainable development of the mining sector in Myanmar” on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).This project is jointly executed with the Department of Mines (DoM) that is subordinated to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation (MoNREC) in Myanmar as part of the German-Myanmar development cooperation. The principal work task for this position is to support the DoM in order to improve the quality of the mining supervision as well as mine operation and planning in particular with regard to occupational health and safety, social aspects and environmental standards.
This post is classified in the 13 grade of the Collective Agreement for the Public Services (TVöD). After a preparation period in Hannover and, if necessary, at the Academy for International Cooperation in Bad Honnef, the job holder is seconded for a period of about two years to the DOM located in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, which will be remunerated with an extra pay for working abroad.
