The Section Geoinformatics develops concepts, methods and technologies for the exploration, analysis, and synthesis of complex and heterogeneous spatiotemporal data. Within the project "SEVA" we develop a web-based approach to analyze changes in satellite data. The SEVA software should enable analysts to create a comprehensive and dynamic view on changes extracted from satellite data regarding land use and land cover. The applicant has to develop and implement modules for data exploration based on methods from machine learning, visualization, Big data, and Web applications. A basic framework is already available, it has to be enhanced and extended. The prototype is realized within the GWT Frameworks.

The position is, in principle, suitable for part-time employment.
Salary:The pay scale grouping will be according to pay group 13 TVöD-Bund (Tarifgebiet Ost) provided that all tariff related and personal requirements are met.
