Geotechnical Engineer

My client is a leading and developing international multi-disciplinary consultancy.

They are actively searching to recruit a Geotechnical Engineer to strengthen the established Geotechnical team in Scotland.

The role will involve; carrying out both Stage 1 and Stage 2 site investigations, preparing of contract documents, involvement in the tender process, scheduling of geotechnical testing and subsequent preparation of interpretative reports is required. You will also carry out foundation design work, retaining wall assessments, mineral stability assessment and earthworks design.

It is expected the candidate will be involved in the design of the geotechnical elements for a range of challenging projects, including major brownfield redevelopment, signature buildings and civil engineering infrastructure projects.

The ideal applicant will be qualified to MSc level in an appropriate degree such as Geotechnical or Civil Engineer. They will have around at least 4 years experience and be working towards achieving chartered status.
