Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer

My client is a medium sized firm of consulting Engineers specialising in civil, structural and geotechnical based projects.

They are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to strengthen their team.

The role will involve; foundation design, retaining walls, slope stability analysis, earthworks design, planning and designing and carrying out phase 1 and 2 site investigations, writing up technical reports and assisting with all aspects of the business. You will also act as a point of call for Junior team members. You will be expected to deal with tendering and processing of bills, and financial budgeting of projects. You will be expected to project manage an array of challenging projects. You will also attend client meetings with a mix of clients and contractors.

The ideal candidate will be educated to preferably MSc level in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering. You will have 6-8 years experience in a similar role already. Ideally you will possess strong knowledge of the rail and highways industry. You must have excellent English written and communication skills. Ideally you should be near chartered status.
